The UI Designer will work within an agile environment with a dedicated group of professionals seeking to deliver a best in class application to the market. The role involves working within a cross-functional UX team with responsibility for ensuring a user-centered approach adhering to best practice design techniques and principles.

Responsibilities

• Gain in depth understanding of user base and web application
• Deliver best in class UX to our customers
• Work closely with analysis team on requirements
• Collaborate with development and QA teams on design implementation
• Work closely with existing design lead and marketing team to ensure consistent design and branding across all media
• Develop design prototypes and wireframes

Skills and Specifications

• Bachelor Degree in a relevant discipline with honours or equivalent
• 3+ years web design experience
• Excellent Photoshop ability
• Experience of Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint
• Strong knowledge of UX design theories & best practice
• Understanding of Intenationalisation and Localisation
• Good grasp of Accessibility standards

Advantageous

• Knowledge of HTML, JS, JQuery and CSS
• Experience of designing mobile applications
• Knowledge of Flash
• Experience of design in other mediums
• Industry recognised certifications
• Masters or PhD in related field
